BIJOUX is a brand new modern cabaret troupe like New Orleans has never seen before mixing live vocal talent with incredible dance numbers, glamour and a little bit of risque’ innuendo. This collaboration thought up by BIJOUX Entertainment NLE and Advance Dance Agency is hoping to set a new standard for live entertainment in the city.
The concept behind BIJOUX is a combination of old school New Orleans burlesque mixed with Las Vegas and Paris style cabaret singing and dancing. Think old school New Orleans burlesque meets Moulin Rouge meets Pussy Cat Dolls. High level choreography accompanies each song and set. The shows are outfitted with couture costumes and high production value sets. The troupe was organized and has been through rigorous training on the vocal and performance side to give a well-rounded and robust show. The girls will dance and sing live through a 45 minute set. Patrons can expect high energy dancing mixed with professional vocals and a New Orleans twist.
This is said to be an entertainment offering that isn’t like anything else in the city! The jewels of BIJOUX will dazzle you tonight and keep you coming back for more in 2012.
The first show is Saturday, December 10 at 8:00pm at Republic New Orleans and is open to the public. There are plans in the works to open up a dancehall performance space called the BIJOUX lounge, but for now it is just the first show.
