Krewe of Chewbacchus Announces Royalty and Theme

The Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus proudly announces the royalty and theme for their Sci Fi themed Mardi Gras parade. The theme for the inaugural Chewbacchus parade is “BacchanALIEN Invasion”. The king is Peter Mayhew, the actor who portrays Chewbacca in “Star Wars”. The queen is Cynthia Scott, the actress who portrays Corporal Deitrich in “Aliens”.

The parade will depart from 3 Ring Circus Arts Education Center at 1638 Clio and follow a backwards route uptown on St. Charles before turning onto Jackson and then turning again on Oretha Castle Haley. A toast for the royalty will take place in front of Zeitgeist and then the parade will continue back to the Big Top for the Chewbacchanal.

The Chewbacchanal starts at 9pm and features performances by C.O.G., Odoms, Spooky Le Strange, and more.
