Musical Tribute and Second Line to celebrate the life and music of Coco Robicheaux

House of Blues will host a Musical Tribute to beloved blues legend Coco Robicheaux on Monday December 12, 2011 . A second line will kick off the proceedings on Frenchmen Street at 3:30pm and make its way to House of Blues’ music hall for the Musical Tribute which is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm.

He was born Curtis John Arceneaux, but most knew him as Coco Robicheaux. The New Orleans favorite performed at festivals and clubs across the US and Europe. He was a regular performer at New Orleans French Quarter Festival and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Coco was a colorful musician well-known for his lively and spirited guitar-driven blues. Just two years ago, he was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame and most recently he appeared in HBO’s “Treme”.

The list of artists who will pay tribute includes Glen David Andrews, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Honey Island Swamp Band, John Mooney, J. Mongue’D, Irene Sage, and many more.
