The purpose of the Young Professional’s Society is to enable individuals to meet with old friends, create new relationships, both professionally and socially, while exposing our members to the wonderful things that New Orleans has to offer. This social networking event allows professionals to make valuable contacts, share ideas, pool resources, and enjoy the wonders of the city’s entertainment. There are no fees or dues associated with the YPS membership or events, and we have grown to be a huge networking organization throughout the New Orleans area, heavily supporting local businesses.

The Young Professional’s Society was created as a result of the devastating impact that Hurricane Katrina and a sequence of additional storms had on the New Orleans community. Many of the New Orleans residents never returned to New Orleans after the hurricane and according to many reliable polls, fewer people are deciding to move to New Orleans. The purpose of the Young Professional’s Society is to encourage professionals to come together in a social networking atmosphere. This network that develops new relationships with other professionals both in the United States and the rest of the world, will spawn new ideas to create new industry in New Orleans that will create jobs for its residents.

Therefore, if you are a young professional interested in broadening your horizons in an exciting social setting and meeting new people, then you should be part of this exceptional organization!
