The three-day International Photographic Exhibit, one of the world’s largest annual exhibits, is free and open to the public

WHAT: Professional Photographers of America’s (PPA) Imaging USA
WHERE: New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (MCCNO), Halls B-1, B-2, E and G
WHEN: January 15-17, 2012

DETAILS: Thousands of attendees and exhibitors are expected to attend PPA’s Imaging USA, drawing both established professionals and newcomers to the professional photo industry. The convention will have photography classes focusing on improving business and photographic skills and use of technologies. Dating back to 1880, it is the longest-running national photographic convention, expo and image exhibition in the United States.

The convention will include a three-day conference, the Expo and The International Photographic Exhibit, one of the world’s largest annual photographic exhibits. The Exhibit showcases professional images from around the world – largely from PPA’s prestigious International Photographic Competition – and photographs from the 2011 PPA Loan and General Collections, PPA’s Imaging Excellence Award recipients and Diamond Photographers of the Year winners. The Photographic Exhibit is free and open to the public.

PPA, an international non-profit for professional photographers since 1869, assists its 22,000 members with protection, education and resources to ensure their continued success in the photographic industry. This year’s conference is expected to generate $12.5 million in economic impact.
