Tales After Dark Where Jazz and Spirits Meet

 As the sun sets during the annual Tales of the Cocktail festival, the party is just getting started at Irvin Mayfield’s Jazz Playhouse. The popular music series, Tales After Dark returns to 300 Bourbon Street on Thursday July 26th through Saturday July 28th from 12 Midnight to 2 a.m. The complimentary three-night event pairs outstanding Jazz entertainment with creative signature cocktails. Thursday July 26: Bacardi Oakhart presents ‘Mas Mamones’ starring Trixie Minx and Friends

Experience the Caribbean with this fresh New Orleans based Afro-Cuban ensemble that guarantees to keep you dancing into the wee hours of the night. “Shake it up” with Trixie Minx and the Bacardi’s Oakhart Rum featured cocktail, the Oak Street Car.

Friday July 27: Oxley Gin presents ‘Burlesque Ballroom’ featuring Trixie Minx and Romy Kaye

In celebration of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, Oxley Gin is featuring the London Fog cocktail. Mixing it up with a “tease” is entertainer Trixie Minx and vocalist Romy Kaye whose performance will transport you to the other side of the pond for a jolly good show.

Saturday July 28: Disaronno presents ‘Brass Band Jam’ featuring Lagniappe Brass Band

Get ready to rock the house New Orleans style with this high-energy funk group. It’s all about the Big Easy with Disaronno’s featured cocktail, A Love Letter to New Orleans.
