The Copeland Family of Restaurants Adds a Layer to Tradition

Copeland’s Introduces the King Cake Cheesecake

King Cakes have been a New Orleans Carnival tradition for many years and the Copeland Family of Restaurants has taken the King Cake to a whole new level! Copeland’s has introduced the 21’st century King Cake into its restaurants just in time for the Mardi Gras Season.

In order to understand what the Copeland Restaurants have done, knowing what a basic traditional king cake is made of might help; twisted bread, topped with icing or sugar in Mardi Gras colors (purple, green and gold). Traditional king cakes can also be stuffed with different flavors such as cream cheese, strawberry, cinnamon, and more. However, the Copeland Family of Restaurants has added a layer of tradition to this Carnival dessert!

The delicious King Cake Cheesecake, available only at the Copeland Family of Restaurants, features a layer of traditional king cake as the bottom of the cake. Then the Copeland’s top the king cake with their own signature cheesecake. Last, but not least, is the strudel and sugar in the traditional colors of purple, green and gold! Copeland’s also tops their King Cake Cheesecake off with a king cake baby for decoration. This King Cake Cheesecake is full of flavor and very colorful to match the flavors of New Orleans and the excitement of Carnival season.

“Adding a layer of tradition to our signature cheesecake was a wonderful idea for the Copeland Family of Restaurants,” said Al Copeland Jr., Chairman of the Board for Al Copeland Investments. “Mardi Gras is such a well known New Orleans Holiday and Copeland’s is a big part of New Orleans as well. Joining Copeland’s and Mardi Gras together with our King Cake Cheesecake is a new tradition we hope to carry out for years to come.”

Copeland’s Family of Restaurants will only be offering the King Cake Cheesecake for a limited time. To get your slice of King Cake Cheesecake visit a Copeland’s of New Orleans or Copeland’s Cheesecake Bistro nearest you. However, the restaurants may keep it year round in order to continue this Mardi Gras tradition. For more information on the Copeland Family of Restaurants visit www.alcopeland.com.
