The Louisiana Museum Foundation Presents the Music at the Mint 2012 Series

State of the art venue welcomes classic performers in a modern setting

WHAT: The Louisiana Museum Foundation (LMF) presents its Music at the Mint concert series featuring:

Guitar Masters Wednesday, June 6 at 7 p.m.
This performance is free and open to the public.  Phil DeGruy, who plays the frankensteined “guitarp;” Jimmy Robinson, whose influences run from country to flamenca; John Rankin, master of “fingerstyle” playing; and bluesmaster Cranston Clements join forces to form the New Orleans Guitar Masters, a synthesis of stringed virtuosity.

Kristina Morales: Jazz Singer & Band   Thursday, June 14 at 8:00 p.m.
Admission for this performance is $15.   A New Orleans vocalist of jazz, Latin, soul and rock, Kristina Morales electrifies and charms her audience with a vulnerable passion and is commended for her use of vocal instrumentation while still giving lyrical color with a delicate seamlessness.

Gene Bertoncini & Bill Grimes  Saturday, June 16 at 8:00 p.m.
Admission for this performance is $20.   Bertoncini is one of the pre-eminent jazz guitarists’ active today. His fluid technique and lyricism have won him international praise and accolades as the “Segovia of jazz.”

Linda Campbell and the Heavenly Melodies  Friday, June 29 from 7:30 p.m.
Admission for this performance is $15.   Traditional gospel music packed with energy and soul.
