Whitney White Linen Night: A CAC fundraiser

Presented by the New Orleans Arts District   DATE: Saturday, August 4, 2012,  300 – 700 blocks of Julia St.

Created in 1994 to attract visitors from the region to visit New Orleans in the heat of the summer, Whitney White Linen Night,  this annual fixture on the New Orleans arts scene now draws over 35,000 guests to the New Orleans Arts District on the first Saturday in August each year.

“Whether music, food, or fine arts, creativity is the real soul of our city. It’s how we express who we are. It’s how we celebrate where we come from. It’s how we inspire the strong spirit that keeps us going,” said Whitney Bank President Joe Exnicios. “We at Whitney Bank are grateful to have shared that remarkable heritage since 1883. We’re also honored to partner with the New Orleans Arts District and the Contemporary Arts Center again this year for Whitney White Linen Night to help preserve our city’s rich traditions and spotlight our community’s extraordinary talents.”

6-9pm Julia Street Block Party  

FREE Admission.  Cash bar & food.   300 – 700 blocks of Julia Street.

 Annual summer art-walk and outdoor celebration along Julia Street (300-700 blocks) and throughout the New Orleans Arts District.  Enjoy gallery and museum art openings with contemporary works by local, national and international artists.
