A Little Background
The St. Joseph’s Day Parade honors the end of a famine in Sicily by prayers to St. Joseph. The 49th Annual St Joseph’s Day Parade presented by the Italian American St Joseph’s Society and its Post-Parade Gala, are the premier Italian-American events held post-Mardi Gras in the historic New Orleans French Quarter. Come witness our beautifully decorated floats adorned by our Queen and her, nearly, one hundred exquisitely dressed Maids, our hundreds of tuxedo-ed Italian-Americans handing out green, white and red beads, silk flowers and Blessed Fava beans. Enjoy the music of our bands and dance teams and catch our sound trucks playing Louis Prima, Dean Martin and Sinatra music while on the parade route. Come one, Come all and enjoy an evening of parades and dancing in the streets. Come sing, dance and even be kissed by and Italian! Best of all it’s..FREE! For more info visit: www.iasjs.org Ciao
