360 Vodka Gets Down to Earth once again at Tales of the Cocktail
For the fourth consecutive year, 360 Vodka is making sure the biggest and best drink from the world’s premier cocktail festival goes to Mother Earth. Her 15,000 pound cocktail from Tales of the Cocktail 2011 was consumed at a rapid pace, so the world’s only sustainable vodka is poised to quench her thirst this year by collecting even more of the otherwise wasted produce and converting it into rich, healthy soil.
“We’re thrilled to once again play such an important role at Tales by spearheading a composting initiative that embodies the sustainable practices we value as a company,” said Vic Morrison, VP Marketing, 360 Vodka. “Our partner Holly Grove Market and Farms does an outstanding job of collecting the green compost bins each night and converting the contents into soil for growing more produce. It truly comes full circle!”
In addition to the composting program, 360 Vodka is hosting a sold-out dinner on July 26th that further demonstrates their commitment to sustainability. This five-course meal created by Chef, Michael Doyle paired with eco-friendly cocktails led by Bar Chef, Brad Smith features innovative culinary pairings made with locally grown, seasonal ingredients. This outstanding dining experience entitled “To Capture the Zeitgeist” will be held at Maurepas Foods where cocktail revellers will be treated to a demonstration in sustainability practices and how this plays a significant role in menu creation.
