The New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation (NOHHF), Azúcar Ball 2017
The NOHHF invites you to join them for the Annual Azúcar Ball 2017. The Ball is a chance for community leaders to support the NOHHF in its mission to encourage and support talented Hispanic high-school students by providing them with educational scholarships to schools and prestigious colleges throughout the country. The non-profit community organization’s main purpose is to provide an organized and directed effort in cultivating and promoting the Hispanic heritage of New Orleans and the Southern region.
This year’s celebration features a festive night of Hispanic inspired music and dancing, food from top local restaurants, and extravagant entertainment. The Azúcar Ball was recently named “the best dance party in New Orleans” and draws revelers from across the country who attend each year. The program includes a unique silent auction and over-the-top decor. The black-tie event’s theme this year is “El Festival de las Flores” (The Festival of Flowers), a nod to the famous annual Colombian festival.
The NOHHF will introduce this year’s prestigious Galvez Cup winner, Jenny Hamilton, New Orleans Ballet Association’s Executive Director. Each year the award is presented to an outstanding member of our community. The event co-chairs are Mary Petikas and Mullady Voelker.
