CRAWFISH – MUSIC – CRAFT BEER
Bugs & Brew for Drew Crawfish Cook-off and Beer Festival will be held on May 20th from 3-8 p.m on Fulton Street. Featuring a crawfish boiling competition, crawfish-inspired dishes from local restaurants, Louisiana beer garden, local music, and children’s entertainment, this family-friendly festival will benefit the Drew Rodrigue Foundation, a New Orleans non-profit honoring a local football coach who battled cancer.
Proceeds from this event will support the Foundation’s initiative to help build a new pediatric oncology recreation center at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge. Its goal is to provide an area designated for children and young adults to play, learn, and create projects of their own while receiving treatment. It will also include an area for patients and family members to receive supportive counseling and education, as well as enrichment opportunities with community partnerships.
