Carlo Ditta & Friends with guest John Sinclair

Carlo Ditta & Friends with guest John Sinclair

Carlo Ditta has been playing Rock and The Blues in the New Orleans area since the 1970’s. He is also the founder and CEO of Orleans Records, home to some of the most significant jazz and blues artists from The Crescent City.

Carlo and friends will be joined by writer and poet John Sinclair who will perform spoken word accompanied by the band. John was the manager for The MC5, Chairman of The White Panthers activist group in the late 1960’s. Sinclair was jailed for activism in the early 1970’s and his case became so well know that John Lennon composed a song “Free John Sinclair” and performed it at a rally in Ann Arbor, Michigan that resulted in his release three days later.
