Chill Out & Relax – What The Experts Recommend
If you’re like us cabin fever sets in fast! This weather has us craving some pampering. So what do you do when you’re stuck inside?We asked our local experts at Earthsavers what their recommendations are to relax during these stressful storm times.
Read on for the experts favorite ways to sneak in some self care at home, in the car, or couped up at your family’s house!
- Mask Yourself. We love sheet masks for sooo many reasons, one being that they are so portable and don’t require you to wash your face when you’re done. This is perfect if you’re stuck in the car or sitting at home on the couch! Throw on a Patchology sheet mask, close your eyes. Want to take your relaxation to the next level? Use a jade roller for a mini facial massage and to help your skin better absorb the product. Wait 10-20 minutes (or longer if you want!) remove the mask and massage in any remaining product.
- Elevate Your Bath. At home? Run a bath and add your favorite bath salts or oil for skin softening benefits. Next, light a candle or burn incense to boost your relaxation.
- Aromatherapy Meditation. This is another self care technique that can be done wherever you are! We suggest using an essential oil or aromatherapy room spray and playing some ambient music. Have noise cancelling headphones? Throw them on! Just 5 minutes of quiet reflection can do wonders for your stress level.
