On April 12, 2020, the 37th Annual Chris Owens Easter Parade will take place starting at 1:00pm. The parade begins at the corner of St. Louis and Royal Street at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel. The Grand Duchess of the Easter Parade, Chris Owens, will be dressed in her personally designed Easter best that will be perfectly accessorized with an elaborate Easter Bonnet. The Duchess will lead the annual Easter Parade with family and friends all dressed in their Easter attire and hat.
Did you know that you could participate in the Easter Day Parade. Chris Owens invites everyone who would like to join her Easter Krewe to join her. The Easter festivities feature a Saturday evening cocktail party, Sunday Morning Brunch, Parade, and Sunday Brunch Party with the Yat Pack. See more details below:
Saturday Evening Tradition
Easter kicks off on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at 7:30 pm with a night time cocktail party at the Chris Owens Club located on 500 Bourbon Street. The cocktail party features complimentary wine, champagne, soft drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and entertainment. The entertainment for the evening is non other than the famous Chris Owens herself. She will dazzle the audience with singing, dancing, and sparkling explosions of perpetual motion that will keep everyone entertained and having a great time all night long.
Sunday Morning Brunch
The celebration starts at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel Ballroom at 11:00am with a hat contest, Silent Auction, and entertainment. Now, this is no ordinary hat contest as you will see costume designed hats unlike any you have ever seen. The silent auction certainly has something for everyone to bid on from hats and accessories to restaurant and hotel gift certificates. All of the money raised from this even goes to support education in New Orleans.
The Easter Parade
The parade begins promptly at 1pm with the Grand Duchess of Easter herself leading the way. Every float has wonderful throws from beads to plush toys. Parade goers will enjoy a lovely parade filled with floats and bands leading the way through the french quarter. The parade is perfect for kids of all ages and of course for adults too. The Easter parade is free for everyone to watch.
Sunday Brunch (Continued)
After the parade is over, guests will go back to the Omni Royal Hotel for brunch and champagne. Guests can continue to bid on the silent auction items and then can dance the day away to The Yat Pack band.
