ABOUT COMEDY HOUSE NEW ORLEANS
Established in 2019, Comedy House New Orleans is excited to open its doors to New Orleans’ comedy fans in 2021.
Originally scheduled for a May 2020 Grand Opening, COVID-19 guidelines delayed opening with live performance restrictions in New Orleans. Throughout 2020, CHNO has taken this as an opportunity to hone their unique approach to the modern comedy experience for both audiences and comics alike.
Locally owned and operated by New Orleans natives, Jackie Sutherlin and Tami Nelson share over 25 years of working professionally in comedy. Their collective experience in theater programming, talent booking, and entertainment venue management has cultivated CHNO’s contribution to modern comedy club culture. As a dedicated, full-time comedy venue, CHNO offers touring comedians an essential destination in the South and gives local comedy fans access to an active and diverse comedy scene.
