Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week
In honor of National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week (November 10 – 18, 2018), local restaurants are donating a portion of their proceeds to benefit the New Orleans Women & Children’s Shelter and Grace at the Greenlight as they meet the needs of the hungry and homeless in our community. Participating resturants are below.
To kick off the week, ReFOCUS, a nonprofit that builds public awareness of the homeless community through photography, will host its annual MyNewOrleans Photo Project Gallery Show on Friday, Nov. 9 from 6:30-9:30pm at Propellor (4035 Washington Ave.) to feature photos and stories of people affected by homelessness in New Orleans.
