CHAIRish the Children Gala

The Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) is excited to host its 24th Annual CHAIRish the Children Gala on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 7 pm to 11 pm at the Louisiana Children’s Museum, 15 Henry Thomas Drive in New Orleans City Park.Proceeds will benefit the Louisiana Children’s Museum’s mission to strengthen and support families and improve life outcomes by ensuring children have access to safe, innovative, learning, and play experiences.

Guests will take in the natural beauty of City Park at the water’s edge and among the live oaks and enjoy a memorable evening featuring cuisine by Dickie Brennan & Co. and Louisiana Seafood, libations courtesy of Sazerac New Orleans, and live entertainment by Amanda Shaw and Sam Price & The True Believers. The event will also feature an online auction and the Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry Raffle. Information about gala tickets, raffle tickets, and the online auction can be found at lcm.org

“We are so thrilled to once again celebrate with the Louisiana Children’s Museum’s incredible community of supporters at our 24th Annual CHAIRish the Children Gala,” said Lauren Clay, Interim Chief Executive Officer. “This is the one time of year that the museum is open just for adults to enjoy our beautiful City Park campus at night.  Along with being a lot of fun, this highly-anticipated annual event is a meaningful way to support the Museum’s focus on early childhood literacy and learning.”

Brett Lapeyre, 2022 CHAIRish the Children Gala Chair, added: “My family is excited to be a part of this year’s CHAIRish the Children gala fundraiser.  We very much appreciate this amazing new museum built for all kids to enjoy.  I know, for my family, LCM is a favorite destination.”

The event begins with a Patron Party from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, featuring live entertainment by Louisiana-born fiddler Amanda Shaw, and gourmet hors d’oeuvres by Dickie Brennan & Co. and Louisiana Seafood.  Cocktails are courtesy of Sazerac New Orleans. The main event begins at 8:30 pm and continues until 11 pm, featuring music and dancing with Sam Price & The True Believers, food stations by Dickie Brennan & Co., and refreshing specialty cocktails and libations provided by Sazerac New Orleans. Patron Party and General Admission tickets are available on LCM’s website. LCM Members receive a discounted ticket price.

The community is also invited to participate in LCM’s annual Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry Raffle for a chance to win a diamond tennis necklace valued at $4,800. Raffle tickets are $30 each or three raffle tickets for $60.  With every three raffle tickets purchased, participants will receive a special Lee Micheals Jewelry cocktail tumbler. Gala ticket purchase is not required for raffle entry. Raffle tickets are available now online on LCM’s website.

This year’s event will also feature an online auction offering patrons the opportunity to bid on dozens of exciting items, entertainment packages, and one-of-a-kind decorated chairs. Bidding on auction items will begin online on Saturday, September 10 on LCM’s website.
