What To Expect
In that spirit, the exceptionally creative climate of New Orleans today has conjured a burgeon- ing roster of newcomers and veteran troubadours playing off each other’s licks and lyrics in our own bohemian port town. And, with 20 years and 8 albums under her belt, Lynn invites some of her gifted friends and fellow songsmiths to the party at Loa, Wednesday nights, 6 -8 PM. Special guests already include:
Jan 16 – Shawn Williams
Jan 23 – Arséne Delay
Jan 30 – Jamey St. Pierre & Alex Mallet
Feb 06 – Ted Hefko
Feb 13 – Carolyn Broussard
Feb 20 – Susan Cowsill
Come hear the songs and stories of New Orleans’ best songwriters and players, united and unfil- tered!. Free and open to the public, the thirsty can refresh themselves with those famed elixirs offered by Alan Walter and his staff.
In recent years, Loa has hosted Echoes From Laurel Canyon, an acoustic series and tribute to that fabled bohemian enclave and its era-defining songwriters who fueled the fertile California music scene and made famous some of the most well-known musicians and songwriters of the 1960’s and 70’s.
