OCHSNER HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN TO HOST BACK-TO-SCHOOL HEALTH FAIR

 NEW ORLEANS, La. – Ochsner Hospital for Children will host Superheroes, Super Health Fair on July 23 for children, parents, and members of the New Orleans community to connect with healthcare resources just in time for back-to-school.

Children will have the opportunity to receive sports physicals, routine childhood immunizations, Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for those aged 6 months – 18 years, and completion of back-to-school forms on-site at the fair.

Expecting parents, guardians and families can tour the clinic, meet with pediatricians and get answers to their questions about choosing a doctor for their little ones.

Families will also be able to enjoy face painting and games. In addition, Ochsner will be offering free school supplies, and the Ochsner Blood Bank will be on-site for those wishing to donate.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office will conduct car-seat checks, and Crimestoppers and the Jefferson Parish Fire Department will discuss back-to-school safety. Winn-Dixie will provide water and snacks. Representatives of Mothers’ Milk Bank of Louisiana and WIC, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children will be present.
