What To Expect
Wines of South Africa (WoSA) USA (www.wosa.us/), the industry association which promotes the exports of South African wine, is excited to announce the second annual South African Wine Week, returning to beautiful New Orleans, Louisiana November 7th – November 13th 2018. WOSA looks forward to a busy week of tastings, happy hours, special by-the-glass pours, and creative South African wine and food pairings across the city.
Commenting on the decision to host South African Wine Week in New Orleans, Jim Clarke, US Marketing Manager for WOSA stated “If there’s a city in the U.S. that shares something in common with South Africa, it’s New Orleans. Both are a great blend of cultures that have melded into their own new and vibrant life. In New Orleans, French, American, Spanish, Caribbean and of course African people have come together, and in South Africa the same thing has developed with the Dutch, English, French, Portuguese, Asian, and of course, native Africans, giving birth to the Rainbow Nation. With so much in common, Wines of South Africa is excited to present South African Wine Week in The Crescent City- it doesn’t hurt that traditional South African wines pair beautifully with classic Cajun and Creole dishes.”
