Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series
The Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series is back. This weekly series showcases some of the city’s famous musician’s featuring traditional jazz, rhythm and blues, and an assortment of music styles. Enjoy some mint juleps, wine, beer, soft drinks, water while listening to the performances. You will also be able to buy some food if you get hungry. No outside food and drink or pets allowed.

JAN 23 – LADIES OF SOUL: Naydja CoJoe, Rechelle Cook,
and Sharon Martin will sing Motown, jazz, rhythm and
blues, and familiar New Orleans tunes.
JAN 30 – NEW LEVIATHAN ORIENTAL FOX TROT
ORCHESTRA: An American revival orchestra that performs
vintage American music popular from the 1890s through
the early 1930s.
FEB 6 – JAMES RIVERS MOVEMENT: James Rivers plays a
mixture of rock, progressive jazz, rhythm and blues, and
Gospel. One of only three jazz musicians ever known to
play the bagpipes, James Rivers would probably call
himself a saxophonist, but his forte is really an amazing
musical dexterity that has helped him master a dozen
FEB 13 – EVAN CHRISTOPHER: Anchored in the music
created by early clarinetists such as Sidney Bechet, Omer
Simeon, and Barney Bigard, Evan Christopher strives to
extend the legacy of the New Orleans clarinet style.
FEB 27 – JOHN BOUTTÉ: Voted best male vocalist of the
year at both the “Best of the Beat”and the “Big Easy
Awards”. His song “Tremé” is the theme song of the popular

MARCH 5 – BANU GIBSON: A superior and swinging jazz
singer, Banu Gibson is one of the few vocalists of her
generation to maintain loyalty to songs of the 1920s, 30s,

MARCH 12 – PAUL SONIAT AND SPECIAL GUESTS: The
Garden’s own, singer/songwriter Paul Soniat, will be
joined by “THE NEW ORLEANS MYSTICS”. Together they will
perform a few of Paul’s original songs. So grab your mint
julep and get ready for an enjoyable evening.
MARCH 19 – NEW ORLEANS MYSTICS: Buy your tickets
early so you will not miss this show featuring the music of
Motown. Songs from the Temptations, O’Jays, Marvin Gaye,
and Otis Redding will all be part of this soulful tribute to
some of the greatest music from the 1970s.
MARCH 26 – PHIL MELANCON: Phil Melancon performs the
musical spirit and style of his hometown, New Orleans. As
complex as gumbo, he cooks up a variety of musical avors
for your enjoyment.
APRIL 2 – WANDA ROUZAN AND A TASTE OF NEW
ORLEANS: Wanda Rouzan is known as one of the Crescent
City’s premier musical ambassadors. Wanda fuses blues,
jazz, Gospel, and soul into a ‘jump on your feet and sing

APRIL 9 – TIM LAUGHLIN: One of the brightest of the New
Orleans based clarinetists to emerge during the 1990s, Tim
Laughlin’s compositions and recordings have made a strong

APRIL 16 – BOOGIEMEN SWING BAND: The Boogiemen
will perform the music of Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble’,

APRIL 30 – PATRICE FISCHER & ARPA WITH CUBAN
MUSICIANS FROM MIAMI: Special guests will join harpist
Patrice Fisher to perform a blending of music from Central,
South and North America.
MAY 7 – THE YAT PACK: “The Yat Pack” will perform classic
big band numbers by Frank Sinatra, Louis Prima, Dean
Martin, and Bobby Darin as well as contemporary artists like
Michael Bublé, Billy Joel, and Harry Connick, Jr.
MAY 14 – CREOLE STRING BEANS: New Orleans party band
with a repertoire that ranges far and wide from Fats Domino

MAY 21 – JULIO AND CESAR: Julio and Cesar Herrera
describe their music as constantly evolving, attributing this
to their exposure from an early age to many cultures.
MAY 28 – RONNIE KOLE: Ronnie Kole’s smooth sound and
elegant demeanor have earned him respect from musicians
across the globe. He was inducted into the Louisiana Music
Hall of Fame in 2012.
