Krewe Boheme

Don’t miss Krewe Boheme on February 7th. This is a fairly new walking Krewe which had its debut in 2019. The Krewe Boheme parades through the Bywater, Marigny and French Quarter. Krewe Bohème brings paradegoers a visual and auditory feast of mystery, artistry and fun. Did you know that the Absinthe Fairy presides over the Krewe? The Absinth Fairy or Green Fairy is a nickname for absinthe, a dark green anise- flavored liquor. Come out and watch fairies and other creatures you most likely have never seen!

Bohème follows in the tradition of artists parades originally established in the 1970s by the Krewe of Clones. The group, which was based at the then new Contemporary Arts Center, established the small-scale walking parade with miniature floats. The Krewe du Vieux would carry on Clone’s legacy.
