The Krewe of Pygmalion is a New Orleans Carnival Club founded in 1999 by a group of Carnival veterans who wanted to provide a high-quality parade during the first week of the Mardi Gras Season. Our annual parade follows the traditional St. Charles Avenue route, and is the most anticipated events of the Carnival season. Thousands of people line the streets to catch our colorful floats, captivating marching bands, and fantastic throws.
New Orleans Mardi Gras is the biggest outdoor party in the world, and the Krewe of Pygmalion’s foremost goal is to create the most enjoyable Mardi Gras experience for all our riders and friends. The Krewe of Pygmalion is New Orleans’ newest parading organization comprised of both men and women, which parades the first weekend of the Carnival season; we like to kick off with the best parade and the best party.
We kick off our parade day with a pre-parade party and upon conclusion of our parade we end it with an after-parade party, PYGMALIONFEST. Pygmalion Fest has become THE party on the first weekend of Mardi Gras!
The Krewe of Pygmalion is ushering in a new era following their 25th year, as we kick off the first weekend of Mardi Gras in style at the Convention Center! On February 7th, 2026, the Krewe will ride a new route, and turn the page to the next evolution of their signature afterparty: Pygmalion Fest.
After years of celebrations at The Sugar Mill, we are doubling down with a venue twice the size and introducing a formal new format, solidifying Pygmalion as the crown jewel of Mardi Gras’ first weekend. This year’s theme, “The Princess and the Pyg,” reimagines the magic of Mardi Gras through a modern fairytale lens, where timeless tradition meets royal revelry and every guest steps into a story of grandeur, glamour, and celebration.
Leading the charge is global superstar DJ and producer Marshmello, whose chart-topping hits and electrifying performances have made him one of the most in-demand acts in the world. Joining him will be a special mystery guest, to be revealed at a later date, and returning favorites, The Party Crashers and Rachii!“
The Krewe of Pygmalion has always been one big family, especially for me, having been born into this,” says Co-Captain Jack P. Rizzuto. “I’ve loved watching this family grow year after year, and as we move into this exciting new chapter, I’m so proud to celebrate how far we’ve come and dream of how far we’ll go.
