Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery Run/Walk

Have you ever run through the Metairie Cemeteries? On Sunday March 27, 2022, runners, power walkers and leisure walkers alike will participate in the nation’s largest cemetery race located on the grounds of historic Metairie Cemetery. This year will mark the event’s 21st anniversary, and race proceeds will benefit local non-profit Save Our Cemeteries, dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and protection of New Orleans historic cemeteries through restoration, education and advocacy.

LOCATION: Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La. 70124

( Race day activities held in parking lot behind the funeral home )

TIME:

7:30 am – Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup opens on site

8:30 am – Start of A Run/Walk through History 1K ( 0.62 miles )

8:45 am – Start of A Run/Walk through History 5K

Entry fees:

General Registration ( Age 18-64 ): $30.00 by February 6th, $35.00 by March 24th, $40.00 on day of race

Youth ( Age 17-under ) and Seniors ( Age 65-over ) : $25.00 by March 24th, $30.00 on day of race.

Proof of age may be required at packet pickup / registration kiosk

ONLINE Registration will close at 11:00 pm on Sunday, March 20, 2022

Registration will still be available at the pre-race day packet pickup event and on the day of race ( see details below )

Virtual Entry: Entry fee is $35.00 ( available thru March 20th )
