The Split Second Foundation successfully hosted its signature fundraiser, the Show of Love Gala, on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Generations Hall in New Orleans. The highly anticipated evening of elegance and impact served as a powerful engine for the non-profit’s mission: promoting the holistic wellness and independence of individuals living with paralysis and mobility impairments.
The gala was meticulously structured around three “Acts of Love” dining experiences, masterfully curated by some of the city’s top culinary artists. Distinguished chefs, including Edgar Caro of Brasa Steakhouse and Farrell Harrison of Plates Restaurant, presented multi-course meals, culminating in a dessert act by Vyoone’s. Guests were treated to an open bar throughout the night, beginning with a cocktail hour at 6:00 p.m.
Beyond the gourmet offerings, the event featured a memorable musical tribute by Grammy Award-winning artist Jerry Peters. Following the dinner, the celebratory atmosphere escalated as the official after-party began at 9:00 p.m., featuring music spun by renowned local talent, DJ Raj Smoove.
A key component of the fundraising effort was the Online Silent Auction, which featured exclusive items and experiences, running from September 25 through October 4. Every ticket and bid ensured that the Split Second Foundation could continue delivering comprehensive care, resources, and advocacy, allowing individuals impacted by disabilities to pursue independent living and an enhanced quality of life. The gala once again cemented its status as a cornerstone event in the New Orleans philanthropic calendar.
