New Orleans knows how to do parades, but did you know we are also great at boat parades too?
On December 14, 2019. the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation is hosting the 7th Annual Lights on the Lake from 2pm-8pm. The event takes place at the New Canal Lighthouse located at 8001 Lakeshore drive. The event will feature a spectacular boat parade, live music, delicious food, holiday cheer, gift shopping village, photos with Santa, Crafts and Games.

Admission for this event is $5 per person, except that kids under 12 are free. Tickets are only available at the gate. The Live music includes New Orleans Holiday Quartet, Choir, Tonya Boyd Cannon, Hot 8 Brass Band, and DJ Matty. Some of the activities include Santa Photo Booth (FREE from 2pm-5pm), Boat Parade (5:30- till), Kid’s Craft Activities (2:30pm-7pm), Sea Serpent Sculpture (2:30pm-7pm) (Ocean’s Heroes, artist Adam Tourek and guests will use plastic bottles found during Beach – Sweep to create a light up Sea Serpent sculpture before sun down!) and Lighthouse Tours from 2:30pm-7pm. But there is even more including ghost fishing demonstration, conversations at the membership, and Oh la Vache! food Truck.
