Join us at St. Jude in the Big Easy on October 5, to help benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Indulge in local food and drinks, bid on auction items, listen to live entertainment and try your hand at the wine pull. Your contributions help ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay. St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and from around the world. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. It will cost approximately $1 billion to operate St. Jude this year. Because more than 75% comes from generous donors, St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most — saving kids regardless of their financial situation.
