BABs Bourbon Dinner with Garrison Brothers Distillery

BABs, the casually sophisticated culinary haven from nationally acclaimed Chef Nina Compton and husband/partner Larry Miller, is pleased to partner with Garrison Brothers Distillery, a family-owned bourbon distillery producing Texas straight bourbon. Chef Compton has created a special four-course menu especially created to pair with Garrison Brothers’ distinctive bourbons.  The event will take place on Thursday, March 21, from 5:30PM – 10PM.

Head Bartender Rick Powanda has created innovative specialty cocktails featuring Garrison Brothers spirits designed to complement Chef Compton’s dishes.  The menu, priced at $100 per person (excluding tax), follows:

First Course 

Hamachi Tartar with Calabrian Chili Sorbet and Hibiscus Gold Rush 

Garrison Brothers Honeydew

 Light and bright, the hibiscus’s fruity and floral notes lift the honeydew’s notes, giving us a classic cocktail with a Texas and Caribbean spin

Second Course 

Pork Belly with Ceci Bean Puree and Rosemary Jus 

Garrison Brother Balmorhea

Dark and complex bourbon with notes of amaretto, coffee, and pecan

Third Course 

Braciole with Creamy Polenta

Garrison Old Fashioned

 Notes of bruleed banana with funky, grassy notes on the end 

Fourth Course

Mascarpone Semifreddo with Stewed Local Berries 

Garrison Brothers Guadalupe

Notes of chocolate, cinnamon, and berry fruit
