The New Orleans Wine & Food Experience just announced that the 2020 Ella Brennan Lifetime Achievement in hospitality will be bestowed to Chef John Folse. Chef John Folse is described as “Louisiana’s Culinary Ambassador to the World.” The award recognizes one individual each year that has made a lifetime commitment to the hospitality industry through leadership, personal and professional accomplishments and philanthropic contributions to the community.
The award is named for Ella Brennan, the legendary restaurateur, in honor of her deep passion and commitment which has made a huge impact on the hospitality industry in New Orleans. The award’s past recipients include Chef Paul Prudhomme, philanthropist Bill Goldring, Chef Leah Chase, restaurateurs Drago and Klara Cvitanovich, Audubon leader Ron Forman, local restaurateur Ralph Brennan, celebrity chef and philanthropist Emeril Lagasse, and tourism industry icon Mark Romig.
The Ella Brennan Lifetime Achievement Award Gala will be held on January 29, 2020 starting at 6pm for the VIP Reception and 7pm for the Gala at the Ritz Carlton New Orleans. The attire is cocktail attire.
