NOMAR’s 15th Annual Economic & Real Estate Forecast Symposium

The New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS®️ (NOMAR) and its Commercial Investment Division (CID) invite professionals, investors, and community leaders to the 15th Annual Economic and Real Estate Forecast Symposium on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center in Metairie. Widely recognized as the Gulf South’s premier industry forum, the Forecast Symposium delivers a full day of networking, insight, and education designed to help participants navigate the shifting dynamics of the local and national economy.
This year’s theme, “Breaking Ground: The Emergence of a New Economy,” reflects how new industries, infrastructure, and investment opportunities are reshaping the economic landscape of Greater New Orleans. Attendees will gain up to eight hours of continuing education credit while engaging with leading voices in real estate, finance, and economic development.
The morning sessions will provide a comprehensive view of today’s economy, with experts addressing local and national trends, labor market shifts, and the impact of emerging policies. A panel of lenders will offer critical perspectives on financing conditions, regulatory changes, and asset preferences—essential knowledge for professionals navigating capital markets.
Midday, keynote speaker Newell Normand, WWL-AM host and former Jefferson Parish Sheriff, will explore the challenges and opportunities posed by affordable housing, demographic shifts, and regional supply constraints. His perspective on community development and policy impacts will set the stage for afternoon discussions on sector-specific trends.
Afternoon sessions will feature updates on major construction projects, permitting processes, and market activity across retail, multifamily, industrial, and office sectors. The program will close with a forward-looking address from Guy Williams, President and CEO of Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company, on how artificial intelligence is transforming real estate marketing, transactions, and decision-making.
Presented by Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company, now in its eighth year as the Forecast Symposium’s lead sponsor, the event continues to provide unbiased, timely, and actionable insights that professionals can apply directly to their work. Additional sponsors include Crescent Title and the Louisiana Commercial Database (LACDB).
The Forecast Symposium offers more than just education—it is a hub for connection and collaboration. Attendees can expect to leave with new tools, fresh perspectives, and valuable contacts to strengthen their professional networks. Whether you are a REALTOR®️, broker, developer, lender, or community stakeholder, this symposium is designed to help you prepare for the opportunities and challenges ahead.
Registration is now open. Early bird tickets are $70 (Sept. 7–15), with regular admission at $85 and half-day tickets available for $40. Don’t miss your chance to be part of the region’s most important conversation about real estate and economic growth.
