The 2025 Excelencia Gala, a highly anticipated event celebrating Hispanic achievements, took place in New Orleans on Friday, September 19, 2025. Hosted by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana (HCCL), the gala marked the start of Hispanic Heritage Month and was an elegant evening dedicated to honoring individuals and organizations whose leadership and inspiration have positively impacted the community.
The HCCL, a non-profit organization established in 1999, was the driving force behind the gala. Its mission is to create a favorable business climate for the Hispanic community and foster economic development throughout the state. The organization also works to expand trade relations between Louisiana and Latin America, a critical role in the region’s economic and cultural vitality.
During the event, the HCCL presented its Excelencia Awards to recognize outstanding honorees. These awards were a tribute to the hard work and dedication of people and businesses that have shown exceptional leadership and active engagement with the Hispanic community. The gala provided a unique opportunity for networking, with a mix of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community members coming together to celebrate a shared sense of pride and accomplishment. It was a night of great food, music, and an atmosphere of mutual support, all aimed at strengthening the bonds within the vibrant Hispanic community of Louisiana.
