Coronavirus Curriculum: Sofa King Fest

New Orleanians are usually very social creatures who love music. Jazz Fest and French Quarter Fest, which usually kick off the so-called festival season, have been postponed along with all other festivals that are usually happening this time of year due to COVID-19. For many these festivals are the highlight of our Spring time. Instead of heading out to a music festival everybody is stuck at home alone including musicians. This cannot be good for anybody’s psychological state.

In the time of social distancing there is something you can do to get your music and festival fix. Sofa King Fest brings the concerts straight to your home. Many of your favorite musicians will be life-streaming performances on the site.

Sofa King Fest is an emergency response online music and arts directory aimed to minimize your COVID-19 quarantine boredom, while providing a platform to raise money for artists, crew, and music industry professionals affected by this pandemic.
