The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation proudly presented its annual Jazz and Heritage Gala on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Generations Hall in New Orleans. This highly anticipated event served as the official kickoff to the world-renowned New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

The gala was a vital fundraising event that supported the Foundation’s year-round educational programs and community initiatives, most notably the Don “Moose” Jamison Heritage School of Music, which provides free music education to hundreds of local students.

Attendees looked forward to an evening filled with captivating performances by a diverse lineup of talented artists. The 2025 gala featured iconic acts such as The Ohio Players, Jon Cleary & the Absolute Monster Gentlemen, and Naydja CoJoe & the Lagniappe Section. The Heritage School of Music All-Stars also graced the stage, showcasing the incredible talent nurtured by the Foundation’s educational programs. Throughout the night, DJ Raj Smoove kept the energy high with a vibrant mix of music.

Adding to the excitement, the gala included a live auction offering a curated selection of exclusive items and experiences, reflecting the rich culture and creativity of New Orleans and Louisiana. Proceeds from the auction directly benefited the Foundation’s ongoing efforts.
