The Art of Resilience: Fleur de Bra Gala Brightens Hotel St. Vincent

Event Date: October 19, 2025 |
The recent Fleur de Bra event at the beautiful Hotel Saint Vincent was a spectacular fusion of fashion, art, and philanthropy, all working toward a powerful cause. More than just a gala, it was a celebratory costumed fashion show dedicated to honoring breast cancer survivors and raising essential funds for patients.
The event’s centerpiece was a runway show featuring local professionals who modeled fantastical, over-the-top looks. Crucially, these outfits included artist- and designer-created bras, which were wearable works of art. The message here is profound: transforming a symbol of a difficult medical journey—the necessity of a mastectomy or reconstruction—into an object of beauty and creativity. This imaginative showcase of resilience deeply resonated with attendees.
All proceeds from Fleur de Bra directly benefit Breastoration, a program supported by the Cancer Association of Louisiana (CALA). Breastoration provides financial and educational support to Louisiana breast cancer patients seeking reconstructive surgery. The funds raised do much more than cover surgery; they offer crucial ancillary services such as assistance with transportation to appointments, medical garments for recovery, and even co-pay assistance.
By centering the experience on both the artistic flair of New Orleans and the fierce spirit of survivors, Fleur de Bra manages to both raise critical money and inspire hope. It’s a testament to how community, art, and compassion can transform the intimidating reality of a cancer diagnosis into a pathway of healing, beauty, and continued life.
