“RUNNING OF THE SANTAS” 2020 POSTPONED

Every year, the Running of the Santas takes place in New Orleans. It is a vibrant holiday tradition where more than 4,000 costumed participants put on their Santa, Scrooge, Rudolph, Jack Frost, Mrs. Clause and so many more holiday costumes and run through the New Orleans streets. Unfortunately, out of safety and caution, the “RUNNING OF THE SANTAS” 2020 is postponed until Saturday, December 11, 2021.

About Running of the Santas

Did you know that the Running of the Santas began in 1998 in the streets of downtown Philadelphia? Forty close friends decided to suit up in holiday costumes and go bar hopping all over town. More than a decade later, the  Running of the Santas has grown across the world with more 20 host cities from Pennsylvania to New Zealand.

Event Proceeds

A portion of the events proceeds were planned to be donated to the That Others May Live Foundation. Donations can still be made directly to the That Other May Live Foundation via https://www.thatothersmaylive.org/donate. The foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2002. The foundation provides scholarships, family counseling, and aid to surviving children of United States Air Force (USAF) Rescue Heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice during a rescue mission. The goal of the program is to ensure that every child of a fallen personnel recovery service member receives an opportunity for success.
