White Linen Light
“White Linen Night” has been cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now the event has been re-invented to be a month-long event encouraging art enthusiasts and collectors to enjoy art through digital auctions and safely visiting galleries in Downtown New Orleans – called White Linen Light.
As you might know White Linen Night has been part of the Arts District calendar for 26 years.
“While we cannot welcome thousands of people to Julia St. to enjoy the art in our galleries this year, ADNO is excited to safely welcome guests back to the galleries for our month-long “White Linen Light.”
Leslie Claire Spillman, ADNO President.
White Linen Light will be a self-guided art walk on and around Julia Street, taking place every Saturday in August from 10 am – 5 pm with rolling gallery openings across the Arts District. Be sure to take this opportunity to continue the New Orleans tradition of donning your white linen for a daytime stroll throughout the Arts District Galleries.
Don’t forget to bring your white linen face masks. We will also be hosting two, two-week art auctions in which each gallery will highlight artwork in their current exhibitions and offer it at a discounted starting bid price. Take this opportunity to visit the galleries, view the auction works, and entire exhibitions in-person and start or grow your collection!
Arts District New Orleans (ADNO), the organization that founded the popular White Linen Night event, is hosting White Linen Light.
