Resilience on the Runway: The You Night Gala at JPAS

Event Date: October 18, 2025 |
The You Night Gala, recently held at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center (JPAS), was far more than a typical social event—it was a powerful and emotional celebration of survival, sisterhood, and self-reclamation. This annual gala is the culminating event for the women who have participated in You Night’s SheRose Empowerment Program, a therapeutic and confidence-building journey designed to help cancer survivors heal emotionally and mentally after their diagnosis and treatment.
Under the theme of “FIGHT CLUB,” the Class of 2025 boldly took to the runway in a high-energy, unforgettable runway show. These women, many of whom have endured major surgeries and the physical toll of chemotherapy, stepped into the spotlight as “SheRoes,” making a strong public declaration of their resilience and newfound strength. The runway show—complete with music, choreography, and dramatic staging—was a symbol of their ability to move beyond their illness and confidently embrace their futures.
The Gala serves as the primary fundraiser for the We Lift You Up Fund, a non-profit that provides crucial post-cancer support services, including You Night’s innovative programs like ScART (Scar Art Painting) and Story Crafting. These resources help survivors process trauma, build a support network of women who understand their journey, and ultimately, discover a path to thriving rather than simply surviving. Surrounded by friends, family, and the healthcare community, the energy at JPAS that night was a testament to the fact that fighting cancer is not just a medical battle, but a deep, personal journey of emotional healing and finding a powerful, supportive sisterhood.
