The culinary world of New Orleans shined brightly on September 5, 2025, at the 14th Annual Gold Medal Chefs Gala & Hospitality Awards. Held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, this prestigious event celebrated the incredible talent and philanthropy within the local hospitality industry.
This year’s gala was more than just a ceremony; it was a night of elegance, great food, and giving back. Guests enjoyed a multi-course dinner prepared by a team of “Gold Medal Chefs,” featuring some of the city’s most talented culinary artists. The event also included silent and live auctions, with all proceeds benefiting the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation. This foundation is a crucial organization that provides grants and crisis relief to hospitality workers in need across the state.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the “Hospy Awards,” which honored individuals and businesses for their outstanding contributions. Chef David Whitmore of Jack Rose Restaurant was recognized with the prestigious Jamie Shannon Outstanding Chef Award. The Drago Cvitanovich Award for Outstanding Philanthropy went to Chef Isaac and Amanda Toups, owners of Toups Meatery, for their work with their non-profit. Other key honorees included Alison Rodrigue, who received the Archie Casbarian Humanitarian Award, and The Royal Sonesta New Orleans, which was honored for its outstanding philanthropy as a hotel.
