2020 Folk Alliance International Conference

Check out the 2020 Folk Alliance International Conference in New Orleans. The conference starts on Wednesday, January 22nd and runs through Sunday 26th. Heading over to the 2020 Folk Alliance International Conference at the Sheraton Hotel on 500 Canal Street. The Folk Alliance International Conference is the world’s largest gathering of the folk music industry and community (crossing a diverse array of genres including Appalachian, Americana, Blues, Bluegrass, Celtic, Cajun, Francophone, Global Roots, Hip-Hop, Indigenous, Latin, Old Time, Singer-Songwriter, Spoken Word, Traditional, and Zydeco).

What To Expect

The February conference is now in its 32nd year. It usually draws 2,900 artists. Agents, managers, publishers, labels, festival/venue presenters, promoters, media who are dedicated to folk music will attend. 48 countries were represented during the 2019 conference.

The Folk Alliance International Conference’s programming will explore the themes of diversity, inclusion, immigration, intersection, and influence in Folk music. Everybody, including folk artists, has a story of who they are, where they come from, and how the places they live in shaped them. The port city of New Orleans, the birthplace of Jazz has shaped many artists. Hear some of their stories at the 2020 Folk Alliance International Conference.
